This project is workshop-based, engaging participants to reflect on our relationship to our bodies through the stories we tell about them and the meanings we associate with them; connecting to questions of identity, trans experience, queerness, and relationship to natural and spiritual worlds; the body as a vessel of change.
The first installation of this project was a combined printmaking, collage, and writing workshop co-facilitated with Mithago Craze at Camp Trans 2025. The session culminated in a collective collage of prints, and words around the themes.
This drew the connection between mythologies of physical transformation and trans experience; stories often associating transformations with othering, punishment, and rebelling against dominant powers within the context of the stories. Then also with divinity, transcendence, and a greater connection to other beings, and the act of creation and rebirth.
